Detroit Subcontract Manager Overview:

The Detroit, Michigan Subcontract Manager will work closely with internal and external parties to ensure that materials and services are delivered upon according to supplier and service provider agreements. The Detroit, Michigan Subcontract Manager will ensure that inbound and outbound materials are received on time and according to the vendor agreements. In addition, th Detroit Subcontract Manager will be responsible for keeping an accurate count of inventory at outside sites.The Detroit Subcontract manager will ask as a liaison between internal stakeholders and outside vendors.

Detroit Subcontract Manager Job Opening

• The Detroit Subcontract Manager will oversee materials coming in and out of the facility, ensuring that materials and services from suppliers arrive on time according to agreements.
• Work with suppliers to create schedules to receive materials that are past due.
• Ensure that minimum lot size requirements are met be suppliers.
• Interface with and partner with logistics providers to monitor shipment progress.
• Develop tracking documents to monitor shipment status for both internal and external use.
• The Detroit Subcontract Manager will use ERP data to perform analysis on material flow.

Subcontract Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related area.
• At least three to four years of experience in similar materials planning or production planning.
• Strong eye for detail, excellent organizational habits.
• Experience preparing detailed reports and tracking documents.
• Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft office suite of products, ERP programs, and other common software.
• High level of personal motivation, able to perform well with little direction.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
