A non-profit membership organization that works to advance the knowledge of physics through publications is seeking an experienced Publications Sales Manager to work remote with up to 30% travel.
Remote Publications Sales Manager Job Opening:
- Translate all publications into clear and effective objectives and plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Lead and manage team of Publications Account Executives.
- Utilize both in-person and virtual interactions to maintain and nurture customer relationships including site visits with associated travel.
- Ensure Salesforce and other business systems are used by all members and serve as support for colleagues.
- Strong understanding of all journals, products, and services to directly impact sales and negotiation efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business policies, processes, systems, and data.
Publications Sales Manager (Remote) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience working with academic library markets or similar discipline; educational non-profit, publishing, etc.
- Must have 10+ years of experience in an institutional sales or licensing position within academia, scholarly journals, scientific journals, consortia, open access, transformative agreements.
- Strong preference for experience in the physical sciences or other areas of STEM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize digital technology.
