Indianapolis Plant Manager Overview:
The Indianapolis Plant Manager will supervise each phase of the plant’s operations such as production, maintenance, quality control, as well as shipping & receiving. The Plant Manager will be involved in recruitment and hiring of new employees as well as training new and current personnel. Additionally, the Indianapolis Plant Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of the plant and all capital improvements.

- The Indianapolis Plant Manager will lead plant operations day-to-day.
- Analyze and identify areas where the manufacturing process could be altered in order to reduce costs, improve quality, and make the facility more efficient without compromising one of these categories for another.
- Partner with Quality Control staff to keep products consistent and find areas where the manufacturing process could be improved.
- The Indianapolis Plant Manager will monitor production schedules to ensure the facility is operating efficiently and all orders will be met on time.
- Take part in the hiring, on boarding, and training of new production personnel.
- Ensure that inventory levels are kept at optimal levels.
- The Indianapolis Plant Manager will analyze and identify areas for improvement in expenditures without compromising quality.
- Prepare plant budgets.
- Partner with the safety manager to organize meetings and trainings for manufacturing personnel to learn and understand the facility’s safety policies.
Plant Manager (Indianapolis Area) Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a four year degree from an accredited university, Masters in Business Administration would be preferred.
- At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity implementing continuous improvement system, particularly, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
- Proven ability to manage budgets for a manufacturing facility.
- Good computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft office suite of programs, especially Excel.
- Familiarity implementing and overseeing a safety program.
- Proven leadership and personnel development skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven analytical and reason-based problem solving skills.
