A leading consumer product distributor is seeking a Safety Manager in the greater Danville, Virginia area.

Danville, Virginia Safety Manager Job Opening

Perform regular safety, loss prevention, and training audits to help maintain and enforce safety regulations.
Ensure thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and OSHA complaints are conducted and action is taken to resolve.
Maintain company-wide compliance logs and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Develop and implement a safety management program including education, training, and auditing practices.
Oversee and conduct monthly building safety equipment inspections.

Safety Manager (Danville Area) Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 5 years of experience with safety management or industrial hygiene.
Prior experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Understanding of OSHA and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Experience conducting incident and accident investigations and determining corrective actions.
