The Vice President of Lab Operations oversees the daily functions of the company’s laboratory. The VP of Lab Operations is also responsible for overseeing the supply chain management, the internal laboratory, outsourced lab functions, and the quality of the products. - The Nashville Vice President of Lab Operations will create, implement, and train the staff on the operational strategy of the lab.
- Develop and keep systems to measure the operational functions of the laboratory.
- Develop and lead training sessions for lab staff to improve efficiency and cost savings.
- The Nashville Vice President of Lab Operations will find bottlenecks in the process and implement changes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure the department functions within the agreed upon budget.
- Participate in the management team, and implement changes within the lab to reach company goals for both the lab and the manufacturing processes.
Vice President of Lab Operations (Nashville Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of eight to ten years of experience in a management role for a laboratory or consumer products manufacturing company with high throughput.
- A minimum of a four year degree from a related field from an accredited institution.
- An advanced degree would be preferable for this job.
- A clear understanding of manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, and packaging of consumer products.
- At least five years managing a lab and driving continuous improvements.
- A clear understanding of FDA and international consumer product regulations.
- Previous history overseeing supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with a large scale manufacturing environment
- Maintain an understanding of regulations and ensure that the company remains in compliance.
- Excellent negotiation and management skills.
