Houston Production Manager Overview:
The Houston Production Manager will direct, oversee, and supervise production personnel within the plant. This person shall ensure that all activities throughout the plant function smoothly thorough proper delegation of tasks and implementing corrective actions as necessary. This position will supervise any of the three shifts within the plant, so a person with a flexible schedule is needed. This positions shall also take part in quality improvement and other continuous improvement projects within the plant.
Houston Production Manager Job Opening
- The Houston Production Manager will direct and supervise the activities of of the production, engineering, quality, warehouse, and maintenance personnel within the facility.
- Assist in the investigation and solving of any issues within the facility.
- Suggest changes to reduce process costs and product quality.
- The Houston Production Manager will lead projects with the marketing department to explore and plan new products.
- Coordinate activities between the departments to make process changes.
- Constantly refine the production process to improve efficiency of the facility.
- The Houston Production Manager will lead initiatives with research and development to find new better ways to product products.
- Lead and coordinate all pre-production planning initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate post-production review process with appropriate personnel.
- The Houston Production manager shall provide support to divisions and personnel within the plant to solve any problems.
- Work with the engineering manager and research and development to evaluate equipment and technology to incorporate into process changes.
- Work with quality, maintenance, and other appropriate staff members to ensure the facility complies with all internal and external regulations.
- Lead initiative to reach corporate goals and objectives.
Production Manager (Houston Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year in engineering or chemistry from an accredited institution.
- At least two years of operation management experience.
- Great problem solving skills as well as conflict resolution.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Good with computers, able to use basic office software such as Word, Outlook, Excell.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
