Detroit Controls Engineer Overview:
The primary job of the Controls Engineer will be to program circuits and troubleshoot circuit issues that arise with PLCs and robots at the greater Detroit, Michigan site. The Controls Engineer will need to be knowledgeable of the various machines and processes art the greater Detroit, Michigan location. Additionally, he or she will have to interface with maintenance and operating technicians to resolve issues and sustain machine production. For this job, the Controls Engineer will not have any direct reports but will be expected to provide training and mentorship to controls technicians on-site at the greater Detroit location for the company. Lastly, the Controls Engineer will report to the Controls Engineering Manager for this job.
Detroit Controls Engineer Job Opening
- The Controls Engineer must design circuits for motor control and machine productivity at the greater Detroit location.
- The job also involves the Controls Engineer supporting the Controls Technicians at the greater Detroit, Michigan site.
- The Controls Engineer must equally design and maintain (troubleshooting, testing, etc.) the programmable logic controls for machines.
- The role will occasionally involved 2D sketches utilizing autocad when designing new machines and controls designs.
- The position will adhere to company safety regulations while on the job.
Controls Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- At least one year of job experience working with controls is required for the role.
- Experience with Rockwell Logix 5000 is essential for this job.
- Some AutoCAD experience is a plus for this job.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
