Detroit Quality Manager Overview:

The Quality Manager will be coordinating and heading up all of the processes in the Detroit plant that pertain to quality and quality control. He or she must be able to maintain that products are met with the standard and quality that the company and its clients demand. The Quality Manager will provide the final audit between the Detroit, Michigan plant and the shipment of orders. This job will be overseeing a Quality Technician and will be reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance.

• The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s quality management system as well as a Quality Technician.
• The role must interact with customers and clients and serve as the company’s quality representative.
• The position must support problem-solving initiatives when it comes to resolving issues with quality.
• The Quality Manager will need to liaison with other departments in order to resolve quality issues.
• The role must analyze data and reports from quality audits and communicate inefficiencies to upper management while recommending solutions.
• The position will head up the quality management team within the organization.
• The Quality Manager will be responsible for keep track of all data pertaining to quality processes.
• The job does not require any travel outside of Detroit, except for instances when the Quality Manager must reach out to clients to communicate quality procedures and issues.
• The position will work on other duties as assigned.

Quality Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:

• A 4 year Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for this job.
• A wealth of experience in steel or casting is strongly preferred for this job.
• At least 5 years of job experience as a Quality Assurance Manager.
• Job experience leading quality teams.
• Automotive industry experience.
