  • Organizes and executes the quality assurance process including but not limited to, analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration.
  • The Quality Engineer will develop and keep control plans, updating them and refining them as necessary.
  • The Quality Engineer will perform the root cause analysis and 8D problem solving process in order to reach proper solutions.
  • Review and analyze design documentation to ensure it meets quality requirements at Detroit, Michigan.
  • Utilize statistical process control in order to understand data and know what parts of the process need to be modified.

The Detroit Project Engineer will design mechanical equipment, assist in the manufacturing, and select materials and equipment for the given project. This Detroit, Michigan job will require a very collaborative mindset for developing industrial equipment as efficiently as possible without compromising quality.

  • The Project Engineer will collaborate with drafters and 3D modelers to develop initial product designs on CAD software.
  • The Project Engineer shall develop the technical designs of the industrial mechanical products.
  • Lead in equipment selections and design custom equipment as necessary.
  • Develop system components.
  • Choose products to be used. The project engineer will ensure the engineering design meets performance specifications and requirement.
  • Provide cost estimates, make bids for equipment. The Detroit Project Engineer will be responsible to create appropriate contract documents.
  • The Project Engineer will lead the testing phases for products. Ensure the company test procedures are followed and the control apparatus is properly used.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineer to develop prototypes and design processes for mass manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineer to develop proper controls to perform functions as they were designed.
  • Provide presentations to appropriate engineering staff members on the products throughout development.
  • Identify ways to improve products.
  • The project engineer shall collaborate with engineering staff to mitigate all issues as they arise.
  • Perform other appropriate tasks as directed by the engineering manager.
Project Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A four-year degree from a university in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience with industrial equipment or mechanical systems is preferred, less experienced applicants will be considered.
  • Proficient in design software, particularly AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft office suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
  • A team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate and communicate with others to improve a project and reach a goal.
  • An attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Able to understand technical drawings, blue prints, schematics, and other such documents.
