Dallas Logistics Engineer Overview:
The Dallas Logistics Engineer will perform research to identify areas of improvement and areas where continuous improvement methods can be deployed. The Logistics Engineer will analyze procedures and processes as well as select the best changes that could be made to improve the way the company functions. The Dallas Logistics Engineer will utilize metrics and industry standard tools to improve these functions.
Dallas Logistics Engineer Job Opening
- The Dallas Logistics Engineer will gather data and analyze processes.
- Research, suggest, and lead the roll out of new processes.
- Redesign transportation operations through acceptable tools and other company methodologies.
- The Dallas Logistics Engineer will determine performance measures and gather data for key performance indicator metrics.
- Work with business development personnel and prepare analyses of the company’s supply chain in order to improve the overall process with solutions and designs geared toward efficiency.
- The Dallas Logistics Engineer will analyze data on driver and equipment usage and select the proper distribution of company resources.
- Partner with operations leaders to roll out solutions of medium and small sized scale to improve the company’s competitiveness.
- Plan and implement Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control strategies.
Logistics Engineer (Dallas Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in supply chain management, logistics, or industrial engineering from an accredited university or eight years of work experience in a similar position.
- At least three years of related work experience.
- A deep familiarity with Microsoft Word and tools such as macros, merge, merge queries, table techniques, templates, and utilizing images with text.
- A deep familiarity with Microsoft Excel, especially using tools for formulas, pivot charts, data tables, queries, data management, data analysis, and custom functions.
- Possession of a Lean Six Sigma Green belt certification is desirable for this job.
- Familiarity with mapping analysis tools.
- Understanding of SQL and VBA.
