Dallas Controller Overview:
The principal responsibility of the Controller will be to manage the majority of the company’s accounting operations through establishing a records system, developing financial reports, and implementing budgets. The Dallas Controller will additionally perform regular audits and will ensure the timeliness and efficiency of accounts. In addition, he or she will ensure that all accounting documents, data, and activities are compliant with state and federal regulations. A supplementary responsibility of the Dallas Controller will mentor the company’s financial personnel by monitoring their activity and coordinating training programs. For this job, the Controller will report directly to the CEO and will have several direct reports from the financial department.
Dallas Controller Job Opening
- The Dallas Controller will supervise the company’s daily operations of the company’s accounting department to ensure operational efficiency.
- Additionally, he or she will be responsible for developing an efficient records and documentation system, preparing financial reports, and enforcing a departmental budget.
- The Controller will coordinate the human resources functions of the accounting department in terms of hiring, orienting, and training.
- There are little to no travel requirements outside of the Dallas, Texas metro area.
- The ideal Dallas Controller will be team player with exceptional leadership skills who will mentor the organization’s financial staff.

Controller (Dallas Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree in an accounting-related field is required for this job.
- At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must have excellent leadership skills.
- CPA or CMA certifications are preferred for this job.
