The greater Birmingham, Alabama area Buyer will interview suppliers, establish and track new program launches, and order capital items. This individual should have background in purchasing from high volume automotive jobs and be prepared to work ERP/MRP systems. The Birmingham, Alabama Buyer will work on program and material management, introduce new products into production, and inform employees of supplier modifications. This job has an emphasis on leadership, interpersonal, and management skills. This individual should be comfortable training employees and using ISO 14001 and ISO/IT 16969 quality systems. - Logistics and material planning experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
