Atlanta Plant Manager Overview:
The Atlanta Plant Manager will direct all day-to-day activities of the plant through his direct reports as well as pushing to achieve short and long term company goals. The Atlanta Plant Manager will regularly meet with maintenance, quality, engineering, and production staff members to ensure that tasks are being performed properly and on schedule to meet all production and quality benchmarks.
Atlanta Plant Manager Job Opening:
- The Atlanta Plant Manager will regularly meet with department managers to monitor progress to goals as well as direct day to day activities.
- Foster an environment that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement through kaizen events and other seminars.
- Ensure that all staff is adequately trained in the safety procedures that concern their work.
- The Atlanta Plant Manager will work to ensure that production goals are met, and will work with customers to ensure their orders meet quality standards.
- Work with corporate management to develop new goals, and create strategies for potential process improvements.
- Administer the plant budget, identify areas where costs can be cut.
Plant Manager (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree from an accredited institution in the field of business or engineering would be preferable for this job.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for this job.
- Strong background in wood products manufacturing
- Excellent understanding of related quality systems, the audit procedure, and making improvements.
- A proven commitment to manufacturing safety.
- Five to seven years of related management experience.
- Ten years of overall related experience.
- Able to communicate effectively from the shop floor to the executive offices.
- Strong understanding of mathematics, strong business acumen.
