General Manager job opening in Anaheim, California. A world-renowned logistics company is now looking to fill a General Manager job opening in Anaheim, California. The General Manager, while working out of Anaheim, California, will have an immensely important role for the organization. He or she will be responsible for managing the operations functions of the greater Anaheim distribution center in an effort to ensure the products reach their end destinations. JMJ Phillip’s logistics management recruiters are now looking for General Managers whom have customer interfacing experience, as well as team leadership experience.   

Anaheim General Manager Overview:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the greater Anaheim, California distribution center. The General Manager must ensure that the warehouse is a safe, efficient, location, and he or she is therefore responsible for overseeing inventory and inventory replenishment while on the site, while also adhering to OSHA and customer standards for delivery. The General Manager will oversee all 100 associates while on the site, including the production management team while on the site. While working out of Anaheim, California site, the General Manager will report to the Director of Client Relations. 

Anaheim General Manager Job Opening

  • The General Manager will hire and train the warehouse associates at the Anaheim, California distribution center.
  • The role will collaborate with site maintenance to ensure optimal site safety.
  • This position will institute lean processes that cut down on cost, save time, and increase efficiency.
  • The General Manager will serve as a “face” of the Anaheim distribution center, interfacing with customers in order to improve customer relations and increase retained business rates.

  • Lead and assist in the advanced product quality planning process for all new products.
  • Create and establish processes and procedures to support machine technologies.
  • Create and edit CNC codes for turning, milling, and end working.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will partner with Quality staff to troubleshoot tooling and process concerns.
  • Investigate new tooling or process methods.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer must design processes to meet all quality standards in addition to internal, industry, and government safety standards.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with other personnel in the company to understand and meet customer expectations.
Manufacturing Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university is required for this job.
  • Four years of job experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Previous job experience working in an automotive company, additonal past machining experience is preferable.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A demonstrated job history of project management leading to successful results.
  • Exceptional CAD and 3D modeling skills.
  • Able to read technical manuals, instructions, and blueprints.
  • Solidworks experience or similar software experience is preferable.
  • Thorough understanding of G&M codes and CNC programming.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.

(PRWEB) November 13, 2012 JMJ Phillip, a Michigan based Executive Search Firm, is inspiring companies to participate in the Toys for Tots charity this Christmas 2012. To promote the giving spirit this holiday season, JMJ Phillip has offered to match any toy donation a business sends into their firm with an equivalent gift. Not only does this encourage companies to help the Toys for Tots program, but it offers the incentive of a combined effort to help kids in need with donations up to $2500 in toys.

“As in previous years, the Toys for Tots program has been one that keeps gaining momentum with each year we participate and collect donations. It is great to see the ongoing support from our company clients and candidates we’ve worked with and look forward to 2012 being our biggest year of contributions yet,” said James Thompson, Vice President of Business Development.

Toys will be collected until 5pm on December 8th. JMJ Phillip offers drop boxes placed at customer businesses as a means of collection. Arrangements may be made for gift pickups in the Metro Detroit Area by contacting JMJ Phillip at jmj.reora.net.

A third way to contribute is by posting a picture of a new toy ready to be donated on the JMJ Phillip Facebook page and it will be matched with an equal gift. Toys for Tots requires all toys to be new, unwrapped, and in the original package. There is no set age for the toys and all gifts are welcome, but there is usually a higher demand for the older children.
