Brief Description: The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep of facility equipment, as well as using spare parts knowledge to continuously improve equipment efficiency. This position will also require a sense of forward-thinking to have preventative maintenance in order to help put a stop to any deviation in the manufacturing process. This position offers plenty of opportunity to expand your knowledge on spare parts and manufacturing processes while working with an excellent company.

Principle Responsibilities:

This position will ensure the upkeep of data detecting and keeping track of plant operations with certain attention to equipment damages and stoppages.
Create preventative maintenance plans
Verify the downtime of machinery and certain plants to help determine the kind of action required to create a solution
This position will make sure that action taken on any plant setback in production is correctly managed
Will confer with the manager to help control the spare parts warehouse, including budgets, supply levels, and purchasing times
Has a role in the design and updates of various spare parts to help continuously improve the manufacturing process
Works with the Purchasing team to help source the best vendors of supplies to improve the spare parts
Helps budget the costs of maintenance
Create reports on maintenance control
Detect the causes of maintenance interventions for damage diagnostics to help determine more efficient maintenance actions for the future
Work with the Safety and Environmental team to help find risks to the plant and determine the best way to rectify those risks
This position will report to the Maintenance Manager
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will perform other duties as necessary

Required Qualifications:

This position will require at least 4 years of experience doing maintenance work in a large production facility
Automotive industry experience is a plus
4 Year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (technical area of study, engineering preferred)
Technical/Mechanical background with a strong parts knowledge is essential to this position
Knowledge of Autocad is a plus
