Detroit Lean Engineer Overview:
The main job of the Detroit Lean Engineer will be to constantly be strategizing lean manufacturing initiatives within the organization. He or she will need to assess the effectiveness of the company’s quality process, time tests, and engineering methods. He or she will need to spearhead change initiatives at the Detroit, Michigan site. While the Lean Engineer will not be managing anyone directly as a part of the job, he or she will be required to help mentor and train production technicians to be more productive in order to optimize manufacturing processes. The Lean Engineer will be a part of the engineering department and will report directly to the Production Manager at the Detroit, Michigan site.
Detroit Lean Engineer Job Opening
- The Lean Engineer will enact time tests, quality tests, and additional tests in order to monitor the efficiency of the Detroit, Michigan plant’s manufacturing process.
- For this job, the Lean Engineer will need to train production technicians and operators to launch new production methods.
- The Lean Engineer will need to implement new manufacturing systems to cut down on production time and shutdowns.

Lean Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A 4 year degree in an engineering field is required for this job.
- At least 5 years of aerospace manufacturing experience is required for this job.
- Kaizen certification is a big plus for this job.
- Six sigma certification is essential for this job.
