St. Louis Production Supervisor Overview:
The St. Louis Production Supervisor will ensure that all necessary duties are accomplished each day within the assigned area of the facility. Provide production technician with directions, coaching, mentorship, and corrective actions as necessary. The St. Louis Production Supervisor will ensure that the assigned area of the facility functions as safely as possible, in accordance with all internal and external rules & regulations. Ensure that the staff’s efforts are properly utilized each shift.
St. Louis Production Supervisor Job Opening
- The St. Louis Production Supervisor will assign tasks to direct reports daily to ensure production requirements are met.
- Provide assistance and direction to technicians to improve their productivity, safety, and understanding of the job.
- Provide disciplinary actions and feedback to direct reports as necessary.
- The St. Louis Production Supervisor will attend regularly plant leadership meetings to communicate trends, priorities, and goals for the facility.
- Participate in and lead training seminars.
- Notify human resources of potential problems between personnel.
- The St. Louis Production Supervisor will work closely with maintenance during break downs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that equipment within the assigned area is regularly maintained according to schedule.
- Ensure all direct reports understand plant policies and safety procedures.
- Provide feedback for personnel evaluations.
- The St. Louis Production Supervisor will take part in the interview process for select personnel.
Production Supervisor (St. Louis Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school education
- A four year degree from an accredited university in the field of business or a related area would be a plus for this position.
- At least five years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
- At least seven years of general manufacturing experience.
- Familiar with metals manufacturing.
- Great written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with personnel.
- Able to motivate and inspire others.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proven ability to develop a staff of production technicians.
- A commitment to professional development.
