Quality Engineer Job Opening in Jackson, Michigan. An automotive supplier that manufactures systems is currently seeking a Quality Engineer in greater Jackson, Michigan to join their staff. This Quality Engineer shall perform audits throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that quality standards are maintained at the Jackson, Michigan plant. This job is good for someone early in their career looking to get more job experience in automotive manufacturing and quality engineering.

Jackson Quality Engineer Overview: 

The Quality Engineer shall perform all quality functions within the area assigned. This Jackson, Michigan job will require using mathematical and statistical tools to ensure that products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Engineer will identify all problems, find solutions to those manufacturing problems, and implement those solutions at the Jackson, Michigan plant for this job.

Jackson Quality Engineer Job Opening

  • Perform all quality functions and analysis within the assigned area of the Jackson, Michigan.
  • For this job, the Quality Engineer will develop and present plans of new quality systems for new lines, new processes, and changes to processes in Jackson, Michigan.
  • Obtain input from related parties on quality systems and improve the system with that information.
  • Implement, and improve quality systems for new lines, new processes, and process changes.
  • Perform checks of the process periodically, document observations and suggest improvements.
  • Perform all root cause analysis when nonconformance and other issues arise at the Jackson, Michigan plant.
  • The Quality Engineer will prepare reports on all quality issues, maintain documentation of these reports.
  • Deliver presentations on quality systems and practices. Prepare personnel for audits and ensure quality standards are communicated to all appropriate staff members.
  • The Quality Engineer must notify appropriate personnel of major quality issues.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineers to improve quality processes and minimize defects.
  • The Quality Engineer must coordinate and plan audits to ensure quality certifications are maintained at the Jackson plant.
  • Keep and maintain a knowledge of trends and innovations in automotive quality manufacturing systems.
Quality Engineer (Jackson Michigan) Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university. A degree in mechanical or industrial engineering is preferable for this job.
  • Flexible, comfortable working in different areas performing different functions and tests.
  • Great communication skills, both in writing and orally.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and record keeping ability.
  • Great multitasking skills, able to manage a number of overlapping priorities without major problems.
  • Familiar with Microsoft office and its main programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
  • Comfortable working under deadlines.
  • Able to travel as needed in and outside of Jackson, Michigan.
  • Familiar with quality management standards and audits.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, a proven familiarity with statistical quality management systems.
