A senior technical guide, this role emphasizes mentorship and the enhancement of development methodologies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Innovation & Design:
    • Conceptualize, design, document, build, and test groundbreaking electrical solutions.
    • Craft electrical schematics aligning with power and grounding standards.
    • Develop and detail circuits, harnesses, and assembly prints for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
    • Generate mechanical design for control-associated structures and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Analysis & Troubleshooting:
    • Expertly troubleshoot and dissect electrical circuits.
    • Analyze production challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Prototyping & Testing:
    • Supervise and support Engineering Technicians in prototype building and testing.
    • Create both virtual and physical tests to validate designs during the release process.
  • Continuous Improvement & Mentorship:
    • Utilize and contribute to best practices using tools like Zuken, SolidWorks, PDMWorks, and ECN.
    • Drive improvements in electrical development methodologies and standards.
    • Serve as a technical leader, offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Alternatively, another 2 or 4-year degree with at least 7 years of related experience.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Proficiency in identifying design flaws, recognizing design commonality, and proposing robust solutions.
    • Knowledge in programming, hydraulics, electronics, statistics, material strength, product durability, and serviceability.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to foster positive relationships with peers and customers.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
    • Acute attention to detail and ability to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Certifications:
    • P.E. certificate, Fundamentals of Engineering Examination, E.I.T, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Travel Requirement:
    • Occasional travel, up to 15%, both domestic and international, might be necessary.
  • Work Arrangement:
