  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall ensure that the manufacturing systems and processes are safe and reliable as well as effective in the production rate and costs.
  • Identify and suggest areas for improvements that could increase quality or productivity for various job orders.
  • Come up with creative solutions to process related problems.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall calculate the return on investment for purchasing  new equipment or tools and for changing processes.
  • Create and implement a training process for CNC Machinists, train machinists, and sign off on their training.
  • Develop a matrix and testing process for CNC Machinists.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall understand how to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and GD&T requirements.
  • Evaluate CNC programs and perform changes to improve the process.
  • Develop prototype parts according to specifications.
  • Maintain records and documentation of all process improvement actions taken and the results.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall identify the root cause of defects through data and address those problems.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements and regulations are upheld.
  • Plan and implement changes to improve ergonomics, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall collect and present data on manufacturing processes at the Lansing site.
  • Improve the tooling by utilizing Lean Six Sigma practices.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall program new tools and perform changes when design changes dictate it.
  • Study new and current processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • The Process Manufacturing Engineer shall utilize the many machine with the Lansing facility.
  • Utilize CAD to design the manufacturing process.
  • Partner with Quality staff to assist in the APQP process as well as the FMEA processes.
Process Manufacturing Engineer (Lansing Area) Job Requirements:
  • At least eight to ten years of job experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or directly similar job.
  • At least three to four years performing failure mode and effect analysis as well as creating controls.
  • At least three to four years in a job responsible for advanced product quality planning.
  • At least eight to ten years working as an engineer for an automotive machined parts manufacturer.
  • Demonstrated history with an SAP program is preferable for this job.
  • Experience programming on a Siemens 840D CNC Machine Controller.

  • This role will complete statistical analysis to ensure quality performance is meeting company requirements for new and existing products.
  • The Montgomery, Alabama Quality Engineer will implement SPC and support the quality assurance department.
  • This job entails participating in board activities and completing monthly and daily reports, and internal ISO audits.
  • The Quality Engineer will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work cross functionally with other employees.
  • The job also requires candidates to lead projects and use previous background skills to provide innovative ideas to the department.

Quality Engineer (Montgomery Area) Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required for this job.
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing field is required.
  • Previous experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing is preferred for this job.
  • Ideal candidates will have knowledge of ISO methods.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required for this job.
