Grand Rapids Quality Manager Overview:
The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will lead in the implementation of quality assurance procedures as well as process improvement projects. The Quality Manager will supervise and direct the activities of Quality Control personnel through out the production process. The Quality Manager will assist with technical expertise to bring product within conforming specifications. The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will be responsible for keeping the process operating according to internal and external quality standards.

- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will introduce and uphold quality management systems to the process. Take part in the planning, roll out, and continuation of quality management for all manufacturing processes.
- Consistently and regularly identify areas for improvement and develop a system to continuously improve manufacturing processes to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
- Identify policy shortcomings within the quality management department, implement new procedures to improve the functions of the department.
- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager will make suggestions about ways to improve manufacturing processes.
- Consistently observe and evaluate the performance of quality assurance programs.
- Consult nonconforming parts data and their occurrences to inform process changes and corrective actions.
- Train quality assurance personnel and ensure they properly understand regulations and procedures.
- The Grand Rapids Quality Manager organize and lead internal and external audits.
Quality Manager (Grand Rapids Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree from an accredited university in the field of engineering.
- At least five years of quality assurance experience in an automotive facility.
- At least three years of management experience in a quality department for an automotive facility.
- Proven ability to manage and improve a staff.
- Strong leadership skills, able to develop the skills of others, communicate effectively, and motivate as well as encourage others.
- Familiarity with process validation, process controls, risk management methods, and control plans.
- Six Sigma certification would be preferable for this position.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
