Our client, a prominent player in the food production industry, is actively seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to lead their sanitation team. The selected candidate will be pivotal in crafting, executing, and refining comprehensive sanitation protocols, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and regulatory adherence.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee the Sanitation Supervisor and their team, guaranteeing adherence to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and ensuring the plant is ready for production each day.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of up to 16 unionized employees across multiple shifts, providing strategic direction and coordination within the sanitation department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce strategic sanitation initiatives, policies, and plans to align with industry standards.
  • Organize sanitation tasks by setting priorities, scheduling work, and maintaining open communication with staff and stakeholders.
  • Uphold a safe working environment by effectively implementing Injury Illness Prevention Programs, emphasizing chemical safety and equipment handling.
  • Participate actively in audits and facility inspections to uphold quality standards.
  • Oversee sanitation chemical supplies and inventory, ensuring efficient use and stock levels.
  • Regularly review and update Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and engage in audit processes.
  • Educate team members about safety risks and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure daily thorough cleaning of the plant and readiness for uninterrupted production.
  • Supervise daily sanitation operations, inspect work, and assign additional tasks as required.
  • Manage and monitor waste management systems, including compactors and organic waste programs.
  • Oversee the annual sanitation budget, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain and routinely update departmental records, including titration and the master sanitation schedule.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to resolve sanitation-related issues and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Availability to work weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A track record of at least three years in a supervisory role within sanitation operations.
  • Proficient knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including sanitation and environmental protocols.
  • Expertise in the application of cleaning agents, CIP systems, and high-pressure cleaning equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational communication skills.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and environmental sanitation programs is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

  • Conduct part inspections and sort customer parts as needed.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits; oversee customer audits.
  • Administer HR tasks using the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and organize the department’s work plans, delegate tasks, and review procedures.
  • Monitor work systems, evaluate performance, and implement improvements.
  • Train, mentor, and assess staff; collaborate on HR matters and address employee performance issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical certificate or associate’s degree in programming/process engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control, inclusive of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Candidates should possess or be able to pursue Lean training, Black Belt training, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training.

A leading manufacturer of irrigation products is looking for an Associate Engineer in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area. 

Phoenix, Arizona Associate Engineer Job Opening 

  • Develop product design and process improvements that address root cause issues. 
  • Assist with quality improvement and cost reduction projects from conception to implementation. 
  • Create validation plans for products and execute validation testing. 
  • Design product solutions using CAD modeling and analysis tools. 
  • Aid new product development and prototyping through implementation of new concepts. 

Associate Engineer (Phoenix, Arizona) Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline required. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in design and engineering work. 
  • Prior experience using 3D CAD packages for product development and design. 
  • Knowledge of drafting, tolerancing and mechanical engineering concepts. 
  • Preferred experience with plastic component design and thermoplastic materials.
