Springfield Senior Quality Manager Overview:

The Springfield, Massachusetts Senior Quality Manager will be mainly responsible for implementing a company-wide quality program that will include: quality policies, procedures, processes and practices to assure the company that there will be improvements on a continuous bases while being effective and efficient. The Quality Manager is going to be the oversight of all quality processes and practices to ensure that all quality goals are met at the Springfield site. Springfield Senior Quality Manager Job Opening

  • The Senior Quality Manager will work synergistically with business leads in establishing a Quality Management Operating System that keeps top management informed about quality performance.
  • Create quality specifications for raw material, processes as well as finished products at the Springfield, Massachusetts location.
  • The Senior Quality Manager will establish quality control plans that will ensure the manufacturing of finished products meet quality specifications, including training of all individuals affected.
  • Review history of product defects and recommend modifications in quality standards where they are warranted.
  • The Senior Quality Manager will manage all product recall actions and other quality problems.
  • Assist with new product engineering and other departments to establish standards prior to initial production at the Springfield, Massachusetts site.
  • The Senior Quality Manager will coordinate testing procedures for raw materials, manufacturing processes and finished products.
  • Contact vendors and customers to deliberate on quality problems with products.
  • Manage all Quality department budgeting.
  • The Senior Quality Manager will direct the Quality Assurance Program, to effect improvements, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Improve the supplier performance by working closely with material department to establish supplier improvement programs.
Senior Quality Manager (Springfield Area) Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Technical or a field related to these is required for this job.
  • Great job experience in lean manufacturing environment using:
    • SPC
    • Kaizen
    • And other quality processes.
  • At least 10 years of hands on job experience with responsibility in a Quality Assurance function including:
    • At least 4 years of hands on leadership job experience,
    • Experience implementing quality systems,
  • Ability to work with a number of teams to collaborate ideas and thoughts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with a high level of experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Have some knowledge in metallurgy.
