Detroit Fabricator Overview:
The Detroit Fabricator will work in the assembly shop assembling carts and other products to customer specifications. For this job, the Fabricator will work on a staff of roughly two dozen other team members performing a variety of functions as necessary at the greater Detroit, Michigan plant. The Fabricator reports to the shop foreman at the Detroit, Michigan.

- The Fabricator will operate torches to weld and cut metals to necessary specifications to match production needs.
- Operate stamping machines and presses to produce parts.
- The Fabricator will operate painting machines.
- Work to aid in the manufacturing processes of the organization.
- The Fabricator will work diligently to keep up with production planning and process pace.
- Help upkeep and maintain the equipment for fabrication.
- The Fabricator will perform fabrication jobs with utmost quality to the specifications of the customer.
- Check and see if there are errors with fabrication specifications, equipment, and other components involved in the manufacturing process.
- The Fabricator will need to be able to understand blueprints and schematics that are required for the job.
- The position will need to help support and safe and secure working environment.
- The Fabricator will need to analyze parts lists to make sure that all of the required parts are available for the job.
- The Fabricator will follow direction from the Shop Foreman.
- Fulfill other jobs as assigned.
Fabricator (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- At least five years of fabrication or assembly job experience in a tool and die shop.
- Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds unassisted.
- Minimum of a high school diploma, associate’s degree in an industrial discipline would be preferred.
- A demonstrated aptitude for manufacturing processes.
- The ability to learn how to safely and properly operate new tools to perform job functions.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment where many people are expected to perform multiple duties.
- A team oriented attitude, able to come up with creative solutions to problems.
- A strong work ethic, able to work with little direction.
- A positive attitude.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
