New York City Production Manager Overview:
The New York City Production Manager will provide supervision and direction to production personnel within the facility. This Production Manager will ensure that manufacturing personnel perform duties in order to meet requirements. The New York City Production Manager is also responsible for ensuring that personnel perform all duties within company and external standards. The Production Manager will provide corrective action when necessary.

- The New York City Production Manager will assign work across assigned personnel in order to meet the needs of the production plan.
- Develop plans to drive down production costs by properly assigning labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure that production schedules are maintained without compromising the quality of produced materials.
- The New York City Production Manager will assign tasks and resources based on priority.
- Hold work groups and personnel accountable in order to assist in problem solving processes.
- Attain necessary materials and tools to complete projects quickly.
- Interface with personnel to ensure that costing, design, and manufacturing are properly aligned.
- The New York City Production Manager will track the costs of ongoing projects, ensure projects are schedule properly, and regularly update project statuses.
Production Manager (New York City Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in the discipline of manufacturing engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least five to eight years of experience working in a manufacturing facility with a variety of equipment and processes.
- At least three to five years of management experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience overseeing an ERP or MRP system as an administrator.
- Possession of a Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be preferred.
- Strong manufacturing leadership experience.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Able to meet goals and deadlines across several projects.
- Excellent reasoning skills, able to gather information, determine facts, and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
