Main responsibilities:

  • The quality assurance manager must manage the company’s quality management system on a daily basis in order to uphold company standards of quality
  • The quality assurance manager will need to assure the highest degree of organization in order to exceed customer expectations and ensure that products meet TS16949 compliance
  • This position demands a hands-on perspective that will allow the quality manager to forecast and remedy potential quality problems on the plant floor
  • Desire to learn and master the company’s manufacturing processes of flow, precision machining, and deburring
  • Document quality metrics through daily and monthly reports
  • Present the reports of the quality system to upper management
  • The quality assurance manager will need to improve the company’s quality system in order to reach zero defects so that clients and potential clients are satisfied with the products manufactured
  • This position will demand the ability to oversee all improvement actions, training, and correspondence that involves quality
  • The quality manager needs to be able to communicate performance issues to the organization, suppliers, and customers
  • Maintain the pace of corrective actions that pertain to quality and sustain constant plant improvement
  • Occasional travel is required

Main qualifications and requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years experience as a quality manager in a machining/manufacturing environment
  • At least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is preferred
  • Quality improvement methods such as kaizen, six sigma, kanban, and others are plusses
  • Microsoft Office knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of FMEA/PPAP/APQP/MSA
