Chicago Quality Manager Overview:
The Chicago Quality Manager will lead a team of quality technicians to identify and solve quality problems within the plant. The Chicago Quality Manager will direct, supervise, and coach quality technicians to ensure that quality assurance processes are properly carried out. Additionally, the Chicago Quality Manager will identify and rectify quality issues using data and performing a variety of tests. The Quality Manager will also be responsible for identifying areas where cost savings could be made without sacrificing product quality.

- The Chicago Quality Manager will supervise quality lab technicians are performing proper testing methods.
- Ensure that critical properties of raw materials are checked to ensure that the company’s specifications for raw materials are met.
- Ensure the quality issues are not arising at key segments of the process by ensuring that intermediate checks are being made.
- The Chicago Quality Manager will ensure all technicians are properly trained in and understand the company’s quality standards and the standards of external agencies.
- Maintain the quality records including all testing data and the manuals on product specifications.
- When technicians make errors, ensure that they are coached to understand their mistake.
- Develop and lead trainings on quality methods such as statistical process control, specifications, systems, and how to meet customer expectations.
Quality Manager (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in the field of quality management of engineering from an accredited university.
- At least one year of experience as a quality engineer.
- At least five years of manufacturing management experience.
- Familiarity with utilizing statistical process control for quality tests.
- A high level of familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other Microsoft Office programs.
- Proven ability to identify and solve quality issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and develop a staff of direct reports.
- Familiarity completing reports and documentation according to deadlines.
- Ability to create and lead in trainings for quality processes.
