Indianapolis Director of Sales Overview:
The Indianapolis Director of Sales will work to establish and expand sales with key customer accounts. Additionally, the Director of Sales will provide direction, mentorship, and advisement to other sales staff to assist with their accounts and development. The Indianapolis Director of Sales will seek to deepen relationships with current customers by understanding their unique needs and offering products tailored to suit those needs.
Indianapolis Director of Sales Job Opening:
- The Indianapolis Director of Sales will foster relationships with prospective customers as well as current accounts.
- Identify, investigate, and establish relationships with key prospective customers, or assign prospects to sales representatives.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations to key clients.
- The Indianapolis Director of Sales will partner with clients to understand their unique needs, making suggestions to expand business whenever possible.
- The Indianapolis Director of Sales will report directly to the President, and will provide the president with key insights on the sales landscape.
- Develop goals for the sales department, implementing strategies to ensure that goals are met or exceeded.
Director of Sales (Indianapolis Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A Master’s degree would be beneficial for this position.
- A minimum of five to ten years of experience in progressive sales experience.
- A deep understanding of the automotive industry, and the products around powertrain systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage several priorities and tasks at any given time.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, able to leverage active listening as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
