Houston Logistics Analyst Overview:
The Logistics Analyst, based in the greater Houston area, will be responsible for owning and managing a strategic 3PL relationships responsible for warehousing and operational excellence. A major focus of this job are inbound and outbound operations; understand daily operations of these movements and how it relates to company cost per pound. The Houston-based Logistics Analyst will analyze and adjust weekly warehouse payment data for accuracy, and potential productivity projects. This job will work with package goods logistics 3PL in addressing billing issues that affect cost per pound metrics. This Logistics Analyst will identify and resolve cost variance drivers and participate in monthly warehouse operating review meetings to review quarterly metrics.
Houston Logistics Analyst Job Opening
- The Logistics Analyst will support the business through ad-hoc queries and create and analyze reports to support business execution.
- This job will develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models to determine cost per pound estimates and trends.
- The Houston-based Logistics Analyst will identify, own and support warehouse variable cost productivity projects through implementation, dashboards and corresponding metrics.
- This job will analyze and adjust weekly warehouse payment data for accuracy, and potential productivity projects.
- This role will perform data management through a combination of data mining, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis; while executing day-to-day activities related to area of responsibility.
Logistics Analyst (Houston Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required for this job.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations is required for the Logistics Analyst role.
- Proficiency in SAP software is a must for this role.
- To be successful, the Houston Logistics Analyst must be data-oriented with experience analyzing large data sets using Excel and other data querying tools.
- Demonstrated project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities is required for the Logistics Analyst job.
