We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Representative to manage existing customer accounts while supporting ongoing business development efforts. Position Responsibilities
Account Management
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and ongoing support
- Conduct regular customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities
- Build long-term partnerships through responsive and professional communication
Business Development
- Support new business development initiatives and identify growth opportunities
- Prospect and engage potential customers through outreach and networking efforts
- Assist in expanding market presence within assigned territories or industries
- Collaborate with leadership to support sales growth objectives
Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer activity updates, and account information
- Monitor sales performance and progress toward assigned quotas and targets
- Prepare quotes, pricing information, and customer communications as needed
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely product delivery and customer support
Customer Engagement
- Conduct occasional local client visits and maintain strong in-person relationships
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product or service solutions
- Address concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Support a positive customer experience throughout the sales cycle
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Participate in sales meetings, training, and ongoing professional development activities
- Contribute ideas and insights to improve customer engagement and sales strategies
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Prior sales, account management, or customer relationship experience preferred
- Experience within metals, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities effectively
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in both office and customer-facing environments
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales tracking tools
- Ability to travel locally as needed
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP)
- CRM or Sales Training Certifications
- Industry-related sales or account management certifications
