Prerequisites

  • 5+ years of UX design experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role

Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to provide technical expertise and hands-on support for the service and repair of advanced thermal cooling systems. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and administrative support both on-site and remotely, ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to work independently, and the flexibility to travel as needed.

Position Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues both in-person and over the phone.
  • Provide after-hours technical support on a rotating basis.
  • Maintain detailed records of field service issues and update service databases.

Service Coordination

  • Manage the return of equipment to the service depot and oversee the RMA process.
  • Communicate status updates to customers promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation to support cooling system services.

Collaboration & Feedback

  • Partner with project teams, contractors, and customers to implement solutions.
  • Offer design feedback and improvement suggestions to quality, manufacturing, and design teams.
  • Mentor and guide other Field Service Engineers and Project Managers.

Prerequisites

  • Trade School Certification in HVAC/R or electronics technology.
  • 5+ years of field service experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with project teams, contractors, and customers.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and Cooling Distribution Units (CDU).
  • Ability to troubleshoot failures in equipment and sub-systems.
  • Experience with liquid cooling technologies and PLC interfaces (RS485, ethernet, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
