Toledo Quality Manager Overview:
The Quality Manager will establish, implement, and up keep all quality management systems and certifications for the company. The Quality Manager will also organize and spearhead quality improvement projects. Additionally, the quality manage will utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules to automate the quality assurance process. It will be the Quality Manager’s job to modify processes and document them to ensure solutions are effective.

- Create, implement, and improve the quality management system at the Toledo plant.
- Regularly update the quality handbook, processes, paperwork, and instructions.
- Organize the audit process including the scheduling, hosting auditors, calling meetings to review processes, and ensuring any issues that are found are solved.
- The Quality Manager will keep an audit schedule and ensure a third party organization performs the audit.
- The Quality Manager will perform inspections both in-process and on final products.
- Perform inspections on vendors, select vendors, foster strong vendor relationships, negotiate any issues, and interpret the results of inspections.
- Review job documentation and perform spot checks in order to ensure inspections are catching defective or sub-par products.
- The Quality Manager will spearhead priorities to solve all quality problems whether they are noticed in-process, during inspections, or by the customer.
- Serve as the point of authority on all matters of quality (non-conformances, deviation requests, root cause analyses, corrective measures. Ensure records are kept of problems and the actions taken to rectify them.
- The Quality Manager will monitor and relay information regarding key performance indicators in order to understand the needs of the system.
- Ensure that products meet customers’ quality requirements as requested.
- Oversee that all proper document control practices are followed.
- The Quality Manager will formulate and implement projects to move the filing system onto an electric system.
- Assist the Plant Manager with support in company’s safety and environmental efforts as well as audits.
- The Quality Manager will oversee the tool calibration program at the Toledo, Ohio site.
Quality Manager (Toledo Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science related discipline is required for this job.
- A minimum of two years of experience overseeing a quality system including document control.
- Exceptional written communication skills, especially instructions and procedures that are technically sound yet readable.
- A thorough knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Great familiarity with configuration management.
- Demonstrated history of checking GD&T of a product against technical specifications.
- Understanding of how to inspect sheet metal formed parts, machined parts, and welded assemblies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office, ERP software, software for technical drawings, etc.
- Experience with CMM, Solidworks for 3D CAD models.
- Experience implementing ISO 9001 or AS 9100.
