Core Competencies Required: 

Skills: 

  • Must have strong mechanical design skills with an ability to read and layout mechanical blueprints.
  • Knowledge of machine systems is essential.
  • Must have strong knowledge of machine tooling and design.
  • Experience illustrating complex machine assemblies is a big plus.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design systems is essential with understanding of 3-Dimensional Solid Modeling preferred; CATIA experience also is a plus.
  • Should have knowledge of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
  • Should have strong mathematical proficiency, not excluding algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus/analytic geometry.
  • Basic understanding of FEA methods is a plus.

Education: 

  • A 4-year Engineering degree is required

Experience: 

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design required.
