We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance throughout the development lifecycle. This role will be responsible for developing and executing testing strategies, identifying defects, improving quality processes, and collaborating with development and product teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
Position Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Validate software functionality against technical and business requirements.
Test Automation
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
- Identify opportunities to expand test automation and improve testing efficiency.
- Integrate automated testing into development and deployment workflows.
- Monitor test results and investigate failures.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Analyze test results and identify recurring quality issues.
- Recommend improvements to software development and testing processes.
- Support quality standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration
- Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in requirements reviews and technical discussions.
- Communicate defects, risks, and testing results clearly.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of production issues when needed.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with test management, defect tracking, and version control tools.
- Experience with API, database, and integration testing preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- ISTQB Certified Tester.
- Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE).
- Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP).
- Agile or Scrum certification.
- Relevant automation testing or cloud technology certifications.
