We are seeking a Project Optimization Engineer to improve project performance, streamline processes, and support the successful execution of engineering and operational initiatives. This role will analyze project data, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
Position Responsibilities
Project Optimization
- Analyze project performance, workflows, and resource utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor project metrics and identify potential risks or performance gaps.
- Support project teams in developing and implementing corrective actions.
Process Improvement
- Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve productivity.
- Develop standardized processes, tools, and best practices.
- Apply data-driven approaches to improve operational performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across projects and operations.
Project Planning & Execution
- Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, costs, and performance indicators.
- Identify potential schedule, resource, and technical issues and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure objectives are achieved.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze project and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to project and management teams.
- Use analytical tools to support informed decision-making.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in project engineering, process improvement, operations, or a related technical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or analytical software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Relevant engineering, operations, or project management certifications.
