We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer IV to lead advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives, optimize production processes, and support the development and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems. This role will provide technical leadership in process improvement, equipment optimization, production support, and cross-functional engineering projects.
Position Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Engineering
- Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop manufacturing methods, procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Provide technical guidance for complex manufacturing challenges.
Process Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving cycle times, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Analyze production data and identify root causes of manufacturing issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Equipment & Automation
- Support the selection, installation, qualification, and optimization of manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on automation and equipment improvement projects.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and throughput.
- Support troubleshooting of complex equipment and process issues.
New Product & Process Introduction
- Support new product introduction and production launch activities.
- Develop manufacturing processes and equipment requirements for new products.
- Collaborate with design, quality, production, and other engineering teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews and provide manufacturing recommendations.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and production teams.
- Collaborate with quality, operations, maintenance, supply chain, and other functions to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Manage engineering projects, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering within an industrial or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, and process optimization.
- Proven experience leading complex engineering and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing data.
- Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Other relevant manufacturing or engineering certifications.
