We are seeking an Electromechanical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. This role will help maintain reliable operations by diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment installation, adjustments, and modifications.
Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- Work with motors, controls, sensors, wiring, mechanical components, and related systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Support root-cause analysis of recurring equipment problems.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow established safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and equipment improvement programs.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
Prerequisites
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent training in electromechanical technology, electrical technology, mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with motors, sensors, controls, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Electrical or industrial maintenance certification.
- PLC or controls certification.
- OSHA or workplace safety certification.
- HVAC, welding, or mechanical maintenance certification.
- Relevant manufacturer-specific equipment certifications.
