We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Landscape Branch Manager to oversee branch financial performance, daily operations, customer relationships, sales activities, and team development. This role requires strong leadership, operational and financial acumen, accountability, and the ability to build high-performing teams while maintaining quality service and business growth.
Position Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Oversee full branch P&L performance and financial results.
- Develop strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, gross margin, and EBITDA targets.
- Participate in annual budgeting and monthly financial close processes.
- Support equipment planning and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance metrics.
Production & Operations
- Participate in production scheduling and operational planning.
- Oversee material ordering and operational priorities.
- Identify service quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective action.
- Promote safe, efficient, and consistent branch operations.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Lead enhancement, maintenance, and snow-related sales activities.
- Support contract renewal efforts and customer retention.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and service delivery standards.
- Identify opportunities to support revenue and enhancement sales growth.
Team Leadership & Development
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
- Build, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
- Provide coaching, leadership, and accountability.
- Create professional growth opportunities for team members.
- Support employee retention and development initiatives.
Safety & Performance Management
- Promote a strong safety culture across branch operations.
- Monitor safety performance and support incident reduction efforts.
- Establish accountability around operational and financial goals.
- Use performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Prerequisites
- 5+ years of experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
- Experience managing teams and day-to-day landscape operations.
- Strong understanding of financial and operational performance.
- Experience with budgeting, P&L management, or branch-level financial responsibilities preferred.
- Strong customer relationship and sales management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain employees.
- Strong decision-making, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accountability, professionalism, and attention to operational results.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Landscape Industry Certified Manager or related landscape certification.
- Certified Irrigation Technician or related irrigation certification.
- OSHA certification.
- Pesticide applicator certification, where applicable.
- Certified Manager certification or related leadership credential.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
