We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support manufacturing operations through the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machinery used in the production of precision components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with machining equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring products meet quality and dimensional specifications. Position Responsibilities
CNC Machine Operation
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Ensure production schedules and output requirements are achieved.
Precision Machining
- Manufacture components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
Programming & Setup Support
- Assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and program adjustments.
- Review machining instructions and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Support efficient production workflows and minimize downtime.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document inspection results and report non-conforming materials.
- Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve issues.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Report equipment concerns and support preventive maintenance activities.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and manufacturing standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and quality.
- Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and precision measurement equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical job duties as required.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- NIMS Certification (National Institute for Metalworking Skills)
- CNC Programming Certification
