We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, reliability, and performance of mechanical equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational productivity.
Position Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, and potential failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues affecting production equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
Equipment Installation & Upgrades
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
- Support equipment modifications and process improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety and engineering standards.
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on maintenance improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow company safety policies and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in safety inspections and continuous improvement programs.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- OSHA Safety Certification.
- Training in predictive or preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
