We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Manager to oversee the development, review, negotiation, administration, and management of contracts. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and other business partners to ensure contractual obligations are clearly defined, properly managed, and aligned with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Contract Development and Review
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, agreements, amendments, and related documents.
- Ensure contract terms and conditions align with business requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate solutions or revisions.
Contract Negotiation
- Lead or support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective negotiation strategies.
- Balance business objectives with contractual and risk management requirements.
Contract Administration
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor key contract dates, milestones, deliverables, renewals, and expiration dates.
- Manage contract amendments, modifications, extensions, and renewals as needed.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify potential contractual risks and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Support the resolution of contract disputes and issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Provide guidance and support regarding contractual terms, obligations, and requirements.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
Process Improvement
- Support the development and improvement of contract management processes and procedures.
- Help establish best practices for contract administration, documentation, and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce contractual risk.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in contract management, contract administration, procurement, legal operations, or a related field.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of contract terms, conditions, and risk management principles.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management systems or related business software.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external business partners.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
- National Contract Management Association (NCMA) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Other relevant certifications in contract management, procurement, or project management.
