We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering initiatives, develop technical solutions, and support operational excellence across a manufacturing environment. Position Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel while establishing clear objectives and performance expectations.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering projects and operational initiatives.
- Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate engineering resources and priorities to support organizational goals.
Project Management
- Lead engineering projects from concept and planning through implementation and completion.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and performance objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to technical requirements.
Process & Operational Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for engineering and production challenges.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate new technologies and technical solutions that can improve operational performance.
Equipment & Technical Support
- Provide engineering support for equipment, systems, processes, and facility-related initiatives.
- Oversee equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure engineering solutions meet applicable safety, quality, regulatory, and operational standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to address business needs.
- Translate operational requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
- Support capital planning and technical evaluations for future investments.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Support risk assessments and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Promote safe engineering practices across projects and operations.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Progressive engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Experience managing engineering projects, teams, or technical initiatives.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, equipment, or industrial systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- Strong project management, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong business and technical judgment with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Other relevant engineering or technical certifications.
