We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and systems. This role will work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance while supporting reliable day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Position Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Development
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production methods.
- Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop standardized work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support the introduction and implementation of new processes, equipment, and technologies.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for production and process issues.
- Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, downtime, scrap, and production costs.
Production & Equipment Support
- Provide technical support to production teams in resolving manufacturing and equipment-related issues.
- Evaluate equipment layouts, tooling, fixtures, and production methods to improve manufacturing performance.
- Support equipment installation, qualification, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and production uptime.
Quality & Compliance
- Work with Quality teams to identify and resolve process-related quality issues.
- Develop and maintain process controls to ensure consistent product quality.
- Support compliance with applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
- Participate in process audits, capability studies, and improvement activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other engineering teams.
- Provide technical recommendations to support operational and capital investment decisions.
- Coordinate engineering projects and communicate progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.
- Support new product introductions and manufacturing changes as needed.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing data and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant engineering or manufacturing software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
- Project Management certification.
- Relevant manufacturing, quality, or engineering certifications.
