Automatic Train Supervision Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) Manager to provide technical leadership for complex rail signaling and supervisioSenior Interlocking (IXL) System Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interlocking (IXL) System Designer to support the design, integration, deployment, and continuous improvement of railway signaling systems. This role will work closely with engineering, product development, installation, and testing teams to develop reliable and standardized IXL solutions while ensuring technical requirements, system interfaces, and documentation are properly addressed.

Position Responsibilities

IXL System Design

• Develop block designs, including single- and double-line signaling plans.
• Prepare signal sighting, route, and aspect charts.
• Design standardized IXL architectures and related configurations.
• Define IXL system solutions, including components and pre-fitted configurations.
• Capture and document customer architectural requirements and system interfaces.

Documentation & Engineering Support

• Produce comprehensive documentation required for system assembly and testing.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Share knowledge of IXL system architecture and features with the broader engineering community.
• Support continuous improvement of system solutions and engineering practices.

Installation, Integration & Testing

• Support installation teams during initial system deployment.
• Provide technical assistance to testing and commissioning teams.
• Participate in system integration activities and help resolve technical issues.
• Ensure designs are suitable for implementation within complex and regulated environments.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in systems or subsystem application design or integration within a complex and regulated environment.
• Experience in industries such as railway signaling, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience with system design and integration.
• Knowledge of IXL systems, safety principles, and power supply requirements.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with railway signaling systems and related engineering practices.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification or progress toward obtaining it.
• Additional training or certifications in railway signaling, systems engineering, or safety-critical systems are an advantage.
