We are seeking an Aftermarket Sales Manager to lead and grow aftermarket sales activities, strengthen customer relationships, and identify opportunities to expand revenue within existing and new markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong sales leadership, commercial judgment, and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to develop strategies that drive sustainable aftermarket growth.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute aftermarket sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify new revenue opportunities across existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Establish sales targets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to achieve or exceed goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop plans to increase aftermarket product and service penetration.
Customer & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Understand customer requirements and provide solutions that address their aftermarket needs.
- Manage customer inquiries, negotiations, proposals, and commercial discussions.
- Work proactively to resolve customer concerns and maintain long-term partnerships.
Business Development
- Identify and develop new aftermarket business opportunities.
- Expand relationships within existing accounts and pursue additional applications or markets.
- Participate in customer visits, presentations, trade events, and other business development activities.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, engineering, customer service, finance, and other internal teams to support customer requirements.
- Coordinate internally to ensure aftermarket orders and commitments are delivered effectively.
- Communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
- Support pricing, quoting, and commercial strategy decisions.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Track sales activity, pipeline development, customer performance, and revenue results.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and business reviews.
- Monitor profitability and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Use market and customer data to guide sales decisions.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, aftermarket sales, business development, or account management.
- Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and growing revenue.
- Strong understanding of sales strategy, pipeline management, forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong customer-service orientation and business acumen.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and business development activities.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, automotive, equipment, or technical product environment is preferred.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional sales, business development, or account management certifications are preferred but not required.
- Industry-specific technical or commercial certifications are an advantage.
