We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead and oversee production operations during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supervising a production or manufacturing shift and be comfortable managing employees, maintaining operational standards, and addressing issues in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities
Shift Leadership
- Supervise daily production activities during the 3rd shift and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards.
- Lead and support a team of approximately 25 employees.
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
- Address operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Production Operations
- Monitor production activities to ensure quality, productivity, and schedule requirements are met.
- Coordinate workflow and staffing to maintain effective shift coverage.
- Ensure procedures, safety requirements, and company standards are consistently followed.
- Communicate important production updates and issues to other shifts and management.
Team Management
- Maintain a positive and accountable work environment.
- Support employee development, training, and performance management.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement across the shift.
Prerequisites
- Previous experience as a Shift Supervisor or Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a production team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety, and quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently during an overnight shift.
- Willingness to work a Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM schedule.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Manufacturing, production, safety, or leadership-related certifications are a plus.
- Additional technical or operational training is preferred but not required.
What the Role Offers
- Salary: $70,000–$95,000 annually.
