We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions, support new product introductions, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for process improvement.
Position Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Development
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Evaluate existing production methods and implement process improvements.
- Support the introduction of new products by developing scalable manufacturing solutions.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased productivity and cost reduction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
- Drive process standardization and best practices across operations.
Equipment & Tooling
- Support the selection, installation, and validation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Develop preventive maintenance recommendations and process documentation.
- Evaluate automation opportunities to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to achieve operational goals.
- Provide technical leadership during product launches and process changes.
- Support supplier and customer quality initiatives as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across manufacturing teams.
Documentation & Compliance
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and applicable industry regulations.
- Monitor key manufacturing performance indicators and recommend improvements.
- Support internal and external audits when required.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, tooling, and production systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- OSHA Safety Certification
