We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations while partnering with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture. This role is responsible for employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, safety compliance, performance support, and HR program implementation. Position Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Partner with managers and supervisors to promote positive employee relations.
- Provide guidance on workplace concerns, policies, and performance matters.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
- Coordinate interviews, hiring activities, and onboarding processes.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Support employee development and training initiatives.
HR Administration
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and employee records.
- Support payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and related inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate workplace safety programs and training initiatives.
- Support OSHA compliance, recordkeeping, and workers’ compensation administration.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Performance & Reporting
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce trends.
- Monitor employee retention and recommend improvement strategies.
- Assist leadership with workforce planning and organizational development.
- Support strategic HR initiatives and process improvements.
Leadership Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and supervisors.
- Mentor junior HR staff and provide guidance on HR best practices.
- Assist with special HR projects and organizational initiatives.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all organizational levels.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
- OSHA Safety Certification
