We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team focused on producing high-quality components that meet exact engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and setting up CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.
Position Responsibilities
CNC Machine Operation
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
- Load raw materials, adjust machine settings, and verify production accuracy.
- Perform machine changeovers and optimize production efficiency.
Blueprint Interpretation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select the proper tools, fixtures, and machining methods for each project.
- Ensure finished components meet dimensional and tolerance requirements.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform in-process inspections to maintain product quality.
- Identify and report quality concerns while assisting with corrective actions.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Report equipment issues requiring repair or preventive maintenance.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating and setting up CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and precision measurement equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) Certification
- OSHA Safety Certification
- CNC Programming or Machining Certificate from a technical or vocational school
