We are seeking a skilled Millwright to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in maintaining complex industrial equipment.
Position Responsibilities
Equipment Installation & Setup
- Install, assemble, and align industrial machinery and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Assist with equipment commissioning and startup activities.
- Ensure machinery is installed according to operational and safety requirements.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical issues and equipment malfunctions.
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective components.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and maintenance equipment to perform repairs.
Mechanical Systems Support
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
- Assist with machine upgrades and modifications.
- Support maintenance projects and facility improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper lubrication and alignment of mechanical systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices.
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or related mechanical maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and alignment techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Millwright Apprenticeship Certification
