We are seeking a Head of Production to lead manufacturing operations, oversee production teams, and drive operational efficiency across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and overall business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and performance goals are met
- Lead and support production supervisors and manufacturing teams
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and operational priorities to maximize efficiency
Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities for operational optimization
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Quality Management
- Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues
- Implement corrective actions and maintain consistency across operations
Team Development
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment
- Support employee training, coaching, and performance management
- Encourage teamwork, communication, and professional development
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and continuous awareness
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives
Strategic Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with leadership teams to align production goals with business objectives
- Assist with production forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning
- Coordinate with supply chain, maintenance, and engineering teams to support operational success
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing or production operations
- Strong understanding of production planning, process improvement, and operational management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with manufacturing systems and production reporting tools preferred
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Manufacturing Certification
- Six Sigma Certification
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
